Belton Exotic Care Center

Accreditations & Certifications

Our award-winning care is no accident, but rather the result of years of study, practice, and experience from each of our veterinarians. Belton Animal Clinic & Exotic Care Center is one of few hospitals nationwide accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, and additionally, we pride ourselves with Dr. Bradley Bays' Board Certification in Exotic Companion Mammals.

AAHA-Accreditation

Belton Animal Clinic & Exotic Care Center is proud to be an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Less than 15% of animal hospitals in the United States hold this distinction.

AAHA-accreditation demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care. AAHA regularly evaluates our hospital to ensure we comply with the association’s high standards for facilities, equipment, and quality procedures. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.

Exotic Companion Mammal Board Certification

Dr. Teresa Bradley Bays is one of about thirty practitioners worldwide to have become Board Certified in the Exotic Companion Mammal specialty.

You can learn more about this distinctive certification here, but in short, this veterinary specialty focuses on the needs of exotic pets, and frequently sees complex cases in rabbits, ferrets, mice, rats, and other pets. Our veterinary practice houses advanced technology and supplies so that Dr. Bradley Bays can perform the most cutting-edge procedures on exotic mammals. The Exotic Companion Mammal certification takes many, many years to acquire and demonstrates Dr. Bradley Bays' laborious dedication to this craft.

In addition to Dr. Bradley Bays’ expertise, all of our doctors receive numerous hours of continuing education in exotic animal medicine and surgery each year! We have specialized accommodations and equipment for reptiles, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, small mammals, and other exotics, and many other practitioners and specialty centers refer their exotic animal cases to our team.
